Meet Vincent & Mia
A Bonded Pair
Mia and Vincent were surrendered to our rescue when their owner died recently. A shelter volunteer had to pick them up and found them living in filth. They were covered in fleas, missing fur and had severe flea dermatitis. They were underweight and needed vaccines. Both are missing teeth and need extensive dental work. Mia also requires meds for frequent ear infections.
Mia (13) is a chihuahua mix. After settling in at the sanctuary, Mia’s true personality is beginning to show. She craves attention. Often standing on and pushing the others out of the way. She stands on her hind legs and paws at me at feeding time. She loves to climb in my lap and lean in for belly rubs. She is super affectionate and enjoys exploring the yard. Mia loves treats and riding in the car.
Vincent (12), a chihuahua mix, is on the shy side. He was more reserved at first, but once he trusted me, he became my constant shadow, curling up in my lap under a blanket. He enjoys mealtime and is never far from my side. Vincent is getting used to being around all of the other dogs but Mia is his comfort buddy. Vincent enjoys snuggling in my lap and has to press his body up against me at bedtime. He loves exploring the yard and walking with Jameson. Vincent is a sweetheart!
